The Shop Window release moving new single 'Sad Eyes' This Friday

The Shop Window are a four-piece indie pop band, fronted by  Carl Mann and Simon 'Syd' Oxlee.

Their new single Sad Eyes is released this Friday (27th November) and is an impressive slice of indie jangle goodness.

Speaking about the release, Mann said:

“‘Sad Eyes was written after a visit to see my Grandmother. She is a massive part of my life and is now 104 years old. She has always been there to save and guide me from before my own memories even began. The afternoon visit had such an impact that day that as soon as I started to drive home I knew I wanted to write down the last two hours I had just spent with her. Naturally I reached for a guitar as soon as I got home and this song happened without even thinking, it just poured out! I can’t even recall having worked on it so to speak!”

The Shop Window have a history in the music business; their journey began in the late 1990’s with Westpier, a band signed to Indolent Records (BMG) boasting such stable mates as Britpop legends Sleeper. Carl Mann of the band has also played guitar for Kylie Minogue and co-wrote a track for the Aussie pop singer.

Sad Eyes is a throwback to the jangly guitar pop of the 90’s - a poignant song about family filled with a sentimental melody. A highly recommended release. Out November the 27th on all major streaming platforms.
