The Islas Break The Mould On New Single Last Time Forever

Published on 9 December 2020 at 10:23

The Islas first caught our eye back in September on Close, an energetic indie rock n roll tune that came compete with the even better B-side in our opinion, Dancing With Daisy - a song that tells a heartfelt story that foreshadowed The Islas upcoming release Last Time Forever.

Last Time Forever hits our ears this Friday the 11th, available on all major streaming platforms and can be pre-saved here. Hailing from Norwich, The Islas are very much a DIY band and have been around since 2018 , releasing their debut EP A Generation To Forget which caught the eye of BBC Introducing. A couple of single releases in 2019 brings us up to a lockdown song writing session, of which the new single Last Time Forever was crafted.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Nathan Baverstock: “I was in a pretty dark place, I won’t lie. I spent some of my time going to the Norfolk coast and walking along the beaches. It was in those moments I carved out the lyrics. Ross (Allen, Lead Guitarist) has this excellent riff which I started singing along to. We both really loved what we created.”

Having heard a preview of Last Time Forever, the song really displays how versatile The Islas are. There is a maturity in the song writing while maintaining a credible and fresh sound that is sure to be a mainstay on Indie Playlists everywhere.

Pre-Save Last Time Forever here. Available to stream worldwide on December the 11th.
