Rising Star TOM BRIGHT Releases New Single 'How Young We Were'

Derby based performer Tom Bright has today released his gripping new single 'How Young We Were'. The single is the follow up to previous release 'Legacy' which was championed by both John Kennedy and Paul Gallagher.

Tom's career has been a steady build, with the talented songwriter garnering support and adulation along the way. His debut album, 'Self Service Checkout' , which was released last year, has garnered over 100,000 streams which is a testament to the quality of Bright's output.

The new single, 'How Young We Were' is a stirring, acoustic indie anthem and Tom Bright's best work to date.

Of the single, the singer songwriter said: "I wrote this track for a friend of mine who was going through a break-up of a 13 or 14 year relationship. I could see he was swaying a bit, so I took it to the guitar one day and this gushed out.

It's sang from the eyes of your older/wiser self, opening up the boxes covered in dust, containing your memories of "many moons ago". It's a positive, uplifting song about a love that was full of great days and a relationship that, despite it coming to an end, set two good people off on their different paths. It's a way of saying: "you know what - thank you for those days and I hope you're well!

The single was premiered prior to release by John Kennedy on Radio X and the song has received early plaudits for good reason; 'How Young We Were' is a standout release from an artist who we feel is not even at the top of his game yet.
