Liam Dutch's latest track, 'Freaky Dreams', is a hauntingly beautiful song that showcases the China-based, UK-born singer’s exceptional songwriting talent.

The song starts with an atmospheric and emotive piano that sets a moody tone, which is beautifully complemented by the soulful and captivating voice of singer Liam Dutch. The songwriting style and vocal delivery of Liam Dutch is reminiscent of the Arctic Monkeys frontman, Alex Turner, which adds a unique touch to the track.

As the song progresses, it gradually builds up to a crescendo with the introduction of organ and heavier guitar. This transition adds a welcome change in dynamics to the track. ‘Freaky Dreams’ is a natural progression and development of Dutch’s sound, which showcases his versatility as an artist. Freaky Dreams is a step forward from his previous well-received singles like What’s Your Problem? and Settle Down, showing that Dutch is continually evolving and refining his sound.

Recorded in Graham Wann’s (Bricolage, The Sexual Objects) studio in Shenzhen, China, ‘Freaky Dreams’ was mixed and mastered by Dutch’s longtime collaborator, Ian Flynn.

With an EP on the way, Liam Dutch said the following about his upcoming release: “I’m really excited about these tracks, lyrically I think it’s my best work yet and also musically, it’s interesting. I wouldn’t say ‘Freaky Dreams’ is indicative of the other tunes on the record though. There are vulnerable moments but also a lot of mystery. I’m looking forward to it. The EP is all recorded, it’s just a case of tweaking things now.
