Single Reviews 10/07/20

This weeks Single Of The Week comes from Bolton lads The Shed Project. Their potential is on display in Lucky Number, a jangly guitar love song that is full or raw emotion with echoes of The La’s. The five piece band should be gigging later this year. Lucky Number is a must listen and quite simply a stand out track that peaks above almost every song we have reviewed since the launch of the website.

East Yorkshire based Priestgate release new single Now next Friday, a shoe gaze inspired anthem reminiscent of The Cure and Ride..Indie pop band The Trusted give us The Innocent, an upbeat cinematic song..Voices is the new one from duo Divine Astronaut. Bjork meets Portishead in this haunting at times melodic track..Hollin Kings are this weeks rockers with new release Hold On. The Ohio based band are full of energy, crashing guitars and rock vocals..Monza Express release Crying On The Radio today, the five piece Scottish guitar band give us one of the better single releases of the week, a song that you can hear on our Playlist. It’s depressing lyrically but equally as charming..James Humphrys has released a new EP called Memory Palace, a four track pop sensation with funky guitars throughout..Our Sound favourites The Wha are slowly building a following and Young Skins  is sure to shed more light on the young band...Reclaim Vienna have had a string of great releases and Infamous continues that streak. The bands sound is familiar yet unique in equal measure...Bully are a great band and Every Tradition ticks all the boxes when it comes to riot girl angst fueled indie rock. A tremendous way to round up this weeks reviews.
