Realma is an ardent creative. Her whole persona is mysterious yet enchanting. Her debut single, 'A Hint Of Pink' is out this Friday January the 22nd and after receiving a preview, it is definitely cinematic, bold and moving.
The song is highly atmospheric with a singing style inspired by Serbian/Chinese folkloric roots. The song has a very personal story and it is also a part of an audio visual project which will be interpreted into a contemporary dance/physical theatre video, comic booklet and a mini video game. The video to the song is released on the 5th of February.
'A Hint Of Pink' doesn't escape the pandemic - the song is inspired by an incident involving RealMa and the police mishandling she suffered when returning from studies abroad: "Something horrifying happened upon the initial lockdown, when my safety was put at risk by those that should’ve helped. My need to overcome this trauma gave charge to the single's distinctive atmosphere, being rendered into a rustic melody that is both haunting and victorious."
With more music coming our way from Realma in the spring, her creativity, drive and vision is something encouraging and admirable.
