‘Wonderland’ is the newest song release by Americana singer-songwriter Katie Eliis which details the intense experiences of the wonder and fragility of the natural world - it is being summoned as part of an inspiring sustainability and contemporary art project in collaboration with artist Geraldine Van Heemstra, a member of the Wilderness Art Collective.
The Wonderland Project (website here) aims to give a musical voice to the environmental rallying cry for urgent government action to protect our planet at the United Nations Climate Change Conference in November.
Accompanied by a music video, which translates the raw energy of the elements into art by immersing Kate in the landscapes, the song was inspired by a walk in a London Park. It was her walks in those parks where she would glimpse flashes of how alive, powerful, and beautiful nature is and how invisibly connected to it we are.

As Kate says: “Geraldine’s artwork is the perfect visual expression of the mus ic in ‘Wonderland’ which is about how perceiving nature in a viscerally connected way gives us a deeper appreciation of it and a deeper sense of loss for what we’re putting at risk.”
‘Wonderland’ is the third single from Kate Ellis’ forthcoming second album ‘Spirals’; a collection of songs that came out of a process of soul searching “to quiet the thought storms in my head and find balance in the world”. It brews the perfect song for the cause that the singer wants to promote, producing an almighty hit in the process.
'Wonderland' is out now on all major streaming platforms.
