Orbiting the Leicester music scene with songs that reach astronomical heights, Young Decades have opened their 2022 account with yet another immersive release. ‘Man on Mars’ continues the high-octane band’s journey of musical experimentation.

In just over a year, the midlands quartet are already nearing the 350k stream mark from a standing start and have earned recognition from the likes of BBCR1 and BT Sport. But as they enter a new year, their mission is just getting started.

Consisting of Lee Cameron, Liam Downey, Scott Harvey, and James Todd, the four fiery friends have already conjured themselves a slot at the maiden SIGNALS festival in Derbyshire, which will see them perform on the same stage as The Charlatans and The Cribs.

Certainly, these boys have impressed in their Leicester stomping grounds, and they’ve no doubt had an influence when performing live, but at the genesis of 2022, it’s their newest release that sets the tone for the rest of the year.

The 9th release from Young Decades since their formation in 2020 delivers an interstellar slice of fiction. Casting forward to the near future, a manned mission to mars is viewed from earth at first with hope and then with envy.

‘Man on Mars’ is essentially an astronomical journey of starry soundscapes and galactic eeriness that gives your ears a different meaning to the word ‘music’.

"Man On Mars" is out now on all major streaming platforms.
