Arches is made up of Mason and Samuela and "Blue Sky" was created in Mason's studio. With echoes of early The 1975, the duo aren't afraid to transcend genres, albeit in a captivating fashion. Altogether, the track is a bona-fide feelgood summer anthem.
In writing the song, it formed initially as a simple chord progression on the guitar and recorded via an iPhone. Soon the electric guitar and drums were added to help form the finished article we hear before us.
Arches' past releases have gained them some strong praise being compared to artists such as Dominic Fike and Frank Ocean.
