Birrell Or Biscuit is the solo vehicle for Craig Birrell, the former lead guitarist for The Valkarys and more recently the bass player in Scarletinas. His latest single, Top Of The Pops is out now.
The previous release from Birrell or Biscuit, ‘Music To Watch Lava-lamps’, was well received, receiving plays on Radio X, added to Amazing Radio’s playlist and reaching number 36 in the Worldwide Indie Alliance chart.
'Top Of The Pops' harks back to the days before MTV and YouTube, to when all bands dreamed of was being on BBC’s Top of The Pops, and watching your record rise up the charts because of it. TOTP is a brilliant slice of pure Scottish indie/punk with elements of reggae. It is fun, catchy and full of life.
