ELECTRIC HIGH Release Their Essential Hard-Rock Album 'Free To Go'

The Bergen-based Norwegian rockers Electric High waste no time following up their acclaimed 2024 debut Colourful White Lies with their sophomore effort "Free To Go", released on November 7, 2025 via Apollon Records.

Where the debut distilled five years of band history into a polished high-energy manifesto, this 10-track album flips the script: written, rehearsed, and recorded at lightning speed, it explodes with raw spontaneity, freshness, and unfiltered rock 'n' roll vitality.  The secret weapon remains the dual lead vocals of PV Staff and Olav Iversen, whose harmonies and trade-offs elevate every chorus into arena-ready anthems. Backed by Marius Mørch's riff-heavy guitar work, Einride Torvik's pulsating bass, and Tor Helge Opdahl's relentless drumming, Electric High channel a timeless blend of classic hard rock swagger (think Aerosmith's melodic hooks, AC/DC's grit, Whitesnake's sleaze) with darker Sabbath-inspired edges, 70s glam flair, and modern punch akin to Royal Blood or Arctic Monkeys.

Opening with the pre-release single "Thick As Thieves", a glam-stomper complete with cowbells and handclaps, the album immediately hooks you into its party vibe. Tracks like "Ain’t Got Nothing But Time" and the title cut "Free To Go" deliver infectious singalong choruses and themes of liberation, while heavier cuts such as "Blow A Fuse" push into squalling, almost proto-metal territory. Standouts include the urgent "Let It Hurt", the soaring "Higher Heights", and closer "Feed Me A Groove", which keeps the energy throttling till the end.

There's no filler here — the whole thing plays like a greatest hits collection that could have dropped in 1976 or 2025 and still slay. "Free To Go" is pure instinct-driven rock: unpolished in the best way, bursting with live-wire excitement, and proof that Electric High are one of Scandinavia's most thrilling acts right now. It's an album that demands to be cranked up loud, windows down, embracing freedom in every riff.

A high-voltage triumph of raw power and melody. Essential for fans of classic-meets-modern hard rock. Get electrified.
