This new release, "Vertigo" (acoustic) from Cry Red sees them adapt the original full band track on their album “Everything and the space in between” to a stripped down strings-led version. Embracing the instrumental melodies and the powerful vocals from frontman Jayson Keeler, the track maintains the intimacy of an unplugged radio session.

“Vertigo” was produced by Tim Wills (long term producer for Ian Brown) who has recently joined Shed Seven for their upcoming tour of the UK. Both the original full band track and this new stripped back acoustic version are powerful, sad songs about distance between people. The stunning vocal performance combined with the intricate instrumentals on this new acoustic version make the track even more compelling and enhances the sad nature of the song.

Formed by Anthony Hutchins (songwriter, guitar & keys) in London, Cry Red came about off the back of a publishing deal which was won due to a number of recordings that featured Hutchins on BBC's The Voice. The group comprises of Hutchins, Bruno Centofanti (guitars), Dom Peyton (Bass), Ed Boateng (Drums) and Jayson Keeler (Vocals).

Cry Red who take influence from acts such as Coldplay, U2, Snow Patrol, The Manic Street Preachers, Maroon 5 and Muse are driven by contemporary pop-rock and are currently writing their second album. The band have played several world renowned music venues in London including The 100 Club and 229 and have had airplay on BBC Radio.

Cry Red’s first album “Everything And The Space In Between” was recorded in London’s Kore Studios with production and engineering by Tim Wills and their debut single was produced by Chris Potter (Brit Award winner for The Verve's Urban Hymns). With the band wanting the album to be listened to as an actual album, they ensured it flowed from song to song rather than existing as a collection of singles. In just 9 months, the album has impressively amassed over 36 000 streams.

“Vertigo” (acoustic) the stripped back version of their previously released song is out now on all major streaming platforms.
