Cambridgeshire-based artist, Luce, has today released her first single from her debut EP. ‘Lamplight’ is a story about two people who share an intimate, vulnerable space at different stages of their relationship (early, established, disconnected).
Influenced by the soft rock sounds of Taylor Swift’s notable release of ‘Red’ and Coldplay’s matured aura in ‘Parachutes’, the song lies in between singer-songwriter and soft rock. As you will be able to tell from the offset, Luce focussed her efforts on lyrical songcraft on ‘Lamplight’, before embedding her brilliance with an enchanting sound.
In this majestic new song, Luce has stepped her game by collaborating with bandmates to bring a much more accomplished sound than what was heard in 2021. In all meanings of the word, Luce has evolved at the genesis of 2022.
Taking listeners on a sonic journey, ‘Lamplight’ signals the start of a promising new era for Luce, who has gigs coming up in London and East Anglia, in preparation for her brand-new EP.
