Solo singer-songwriter, Grace Savage has dropped her latest single, her first of 2021.

The new track, titled ‘Rag Doll’, builds and maintains her electro-pop sound and features an infectious chorus and pop infused rhythm and catchy lyrics.

Originally, the song was written as a way of exploring the singer’s own feelings about her then new partner, whom she felt unable to be completely open with. Years after writing the song, Savage adapted it and played it when she proposed.

Talking about the new track, Savage said: “It’s kind of ironic that a song about not being able to say ‘I love you’ turned out to be the one that helped me make the most romantic gesture of my life.” And added: “I hope this story can spread some much needed positivity & joy at a time when listeners need uplifting more than ever.”

Grace has been making a name for herself for quite some time. She entered the scene as an independent artist back in 2017 with debut EP ‘Savage Grace’, and her later released single, ‘Running Under Water’, was named BBC Radio 1 ‘Introducing Track of the Week’ the following year.

As well as that, she’s featured in RedBull music’s online songwriting competition series “The Cut”, been listed in ELLE magazine as ‘Top 100 most inspiring women’ and, in 2018, she was nominated ‘Best Songwriter’ & ‘Best Female Solo Act’ at the Unsigned Music Awards.

Before lockdown, Grace was making her mark on the live circuit & solidifying her fanbase, performing at Glastonbury, Latitude, Great Escape and Wilderness and she’s wasting no time in getting back on the circuit, with a headline show booked at Colours Festival this September.
