From Birrell or Biscuit’s latest EP, Music to Watch Lava Lamps, comes the brilliant single 'Boyband'. The single is a psychedelic indie rock track with shimmering guitars reminiscent of post-punk bands of the 80’s, alongside a driving bassline and thumping drums. The song sits perfectly in the EP full of brilliant tunes and lyrics displaying Birrell’s sense of humour.

Birrell or Biscuit is a solo project by Craig Birrell, the former lead guitarist of The Valkarys and more recently the bass player of The Scarletinas. Music to Watch Lava Lamps is his latest and final collection of songs recorded as a solo artist, and is released under a label co-founded by Birrell, Whanga Records. Birrell has supported The Rifles on their UK tour and played with The Graveltones in Europe. It’s certainly worth looking out for any upcoming live performances.

Boyband is the sixth single release of Birrell or Biscuit, with each single receiving support from Radio X, BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio Ulster (Mickey Bradley), Amazing Radio and more. This well-deserved praise is an indication of the brilliance of Birrell or Biscuit’s music.

Jeffrey Michelson, formerly Apple Records’ media designer, said the following about Birrell or Biscuit: “The only really important question about content and media is, is it entertaining?.. and the answer in this case is… YES!
