Every now and then, we discover a hidden gem here at Our Sound Music, and recently we discovered a track that deserves further exposure. The talented musician, writer and performer Rosie Byron recently released her latest track, 'Never Did Say'. This song introduced us to Byron's growing catalogue of songs and prompted a dive into her repertoire.
'Chillin’, a previous standout track was released in 2021 and was written about Covid-19, a topic that by now has been hammered into the ground but Byron was one of the first - and to be frank, the best at capturing that moment in our history. Another song that we are fans of is ‘What Do We Do’. This track focused on being single and not having anyone to turn to in times of difficulty. Quite a poignant message and this release really showcased Rosie Byron's songwriting ability. Now, her latest release, 'Never Did Say', seems to encapsulate everything about this performer. It is a reflection of her growth as an artist and, if there is any balance, it will expose the Walsall-based songstress to a wider audience.

Recorded and mixed at Bay Ten Studios in the West Midlands, this latest single reflects her passion for creating motivational, upbeat tracks that lyrically will resonate with listeners. The positivity here is infectious; an endearing vocal and a clear knack for musicianship. Rosie is influenced by musical icons such as Madonna and George Michael and this high standard has rubbed off and sprinkled a little magic here. What is quite compelling is that the song features a little French - and it works.
About 'Never Did Say', the artist herself says: "It is an upbeat song about ending a relationship and the emotions that are involved. This is my ninth song and my message is for people to focus on themselves and what makes their lives happy..."
'Never Did Say' is a captivating, engrossing and effortless release from an under the radar talent. We hope to hear more from Rosie Byron throughout the rest of the year.
