Introducing Shambolics & Their New Single 'Love Collides'

Shambolics are the latest band to be signed by the legendary Alan McGee - The Scots are back with a new single, Love Collides, out today. It’s an epic and dreamy break-up song with hints of early The Cure or The Smiths about it - Steve Lamacq on 6Music has been championing the dreamy new guitar band.

The Fife four-piece were signed to Creation 23 last summer and are already firm favourites north of the border. Last year the band sold-out their entire 7” vinyl run for debut single Chasing A Disaster on pre-sales alone, before being greeted by a sell-out UK headline tour in the Autumn.

The new single Love Collides is three and a half minutes of drama and emotion - recorded at Eggman Studios in the band’s hometown of Fife, and produced and engineered by Darren Forbes, Scott Thomson, and Scott Williamson.

Love Collides is a song about when a relationship is on the brink and is 'forever going wrong’” explains the band’s Darren Forbes. “The track contrasts between minor key and lyrics about how everything is breaking and then opens up in the chorus in a major key with optimistic lyrics.”

Love Collides encapsulates everything that Shambolics are about. The latest from this Fife four-piece may be a break-up song, but is guaranteed to have plenty more smitten yet.
