Following the success of the highly praised EP “The Lost Persons Meeting Point”, Alex Ohm is back with

“Joy” a rousing, summer anthem which looks towards better times ahead. Ohm labels the track as potentially the happiest song he has ever written.

Joy” was written mid-pandemic with a view to a future without restrictions , full of hope and thinking positively. The feel good track was rather impromptu, with restrictions stopping rehearsals  which usually take place before recording, so the track was remotely demoed before being taken straight to the studio. The band are really proud with how the song turned out after overcoming the restrictions and how they didn’t let it phase them.

The track features Alex’s band members Ste Ashford (Guitar), Hannah Maiden (Bass) and producer, Ryan Pinson on drums and was recorded at the RML Studios in Wolverhampton. Midlands based Ohm is beginning to make a name for himself far and wide after becoming a renowned name on the local music scene. Alex has opened shows for Ian Brown, The Charlatans, Peter Doherty and Ocean Colour Scene  and has toured worldwide, with several sold out shows to his name.

The wide range of influences that inspire Alex’s work are reflected in his alternative , cinematic symphonies that come together to create his band's unique sound. “Joy” takes a slightly different direction with its feel good factor and summer vibe, omitting the usual underlying cynicism heard within his other tracks.

'Joy' is available now on all major streaming services.
