Former drummer and founder member of Oasis Tony McCarroll, 50, suffered a heart attack on Wednesday the 25th of August. He has since had a stent fitted, a procedure that is a short, wire-mesh tube that acts like a scaffold to help keep his artery open.

Former bandmate Liam Gallagher sent his best wishes to McCarroll on Twitter, posting: Tony it’s LG hope your ok stay cool sending you love.

McCarroll was dismissed from Oasis in 1995 at the behest of Noel Gallagher with Tony McCarroll going on to attempt to sue the band as he felt that he was owed his part of the band's five-album deal with Creation. He settled for an out-of-court figure.

Since leaving Oasis, Tony McCarroll has written an incredible book on his time in Oasis called "Oasis - The Truth. My Life As Oasis's Drummer".  He is now an event speaker as well as appearing on various podcasts and appearing at Q & A events.

Everyone at Our Sound Music wishes Tony a speedy recovery.
