Five O Fives have today released the beautifully atmospheric single ‘If You Won’t Say It’. The track draws us in with divine guitar chords and gentle female vocals which slowly build in the first verse. The song has a live yet intimate feel, layered with elegant vocals, and an indie rock drum beat.
Their unique sound is discernible throughout their music, with their previous single ‘Through The Darkness’ portraying strong elements of indie rock through the use of electric guitar strums and a heavy drum pattern. Their new single however, is a lot more mellow and of a slower tempo, excellently capturing our attention within the first few seconds of listening and holding our attention throughout the song via thoughtful pulsating melodies and instrumentals.
The Birmingham quartet Five O Five's are a West Midlands based Indie Rock band who formed in 2019. Already in their young career they have played at the Actress and Bishop, Dead Wax and The Castle & Falcon in Birmingham as well as a sold out show at The Tin in Coventry. Their latest release features artist Alice Bloor on Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Andreas Mouzourides on Lead Guitar, Nico Pickard on Bass Guitar and Joel Faulkner On Drums.
When talking about the song they said: “The moment two people know they’re interested in each other and are waiting for the other to admit it-that’s where the catchy pre-chorus of this anthemic single picks us up. This song aims to capture the feeling of uncertainty and the fleeting moments in the genesis of a relationship and the new beginnings involved.”
Their consistency, originality, and easy listening is what makes them effortlessly distinctive and bound for success.
'If You Won't Say It' is out now on all major streaming platforms.
