Following on from his last single “Watch The Sun Burn Your Eyes” released in February, Martin Leary has released new music in the form of his new track “Angel”.
“Angel” continues the theme of deep lyrics which the talented songwriter’s fans have been accustomed to hearing. At the outset asking if you have ever woken from a dream that’s so obscene it's real, leaving you feelingly alone inside as you wake and contemplate exactly how you feel. The philosophical and deep lyrics continue further with the age old question of where we go when we die.
“Angel” is simple in its production , leaving the lyrics as the main focus for listeners bound together with guitar and Leary’s vocals the perfect accompaniment, justifying the title of a real musicians musician he was once labelled with.
Martin Leary is an established alternative indie rock artist based in Glasgow and his influences of Oasis, Richard Ashcroft, The Libertines and The Beatles can be heard within his musical style. Previous single "Watch The Sun Burn Your Eyes” boasts an anthem quality similar to that of The Verve and Oasis and pushes the sonic force despite being a solo act.
Martin began lockdown releasing his EP “All in Good Time” which showcased his natural talent perfectly with an excellent 5 song collection. With most of his releases coming during the pandemic as we look set to hopefully exit and as live music is returning to the stages, Martin may begin to move on plans to work alongside a band however equally is sure for success should he go it alone.
