Had To Do It is the latest single by Birmingham indie rockers, Five O Fives. Formed in 2019, the quartet have had a great start to their career so far, gigging in some of Birmingham’s best venues, as well as The Tin in Coventry, where they played a sold out show.

The new track follows the successful release of previous singles Through The Darkness, Something To Do, and If You Won’t Say It. Out today, Had To Do It was mixed, mastered and produced at Stone.Fields Productions by Craig Davis. Instrumentally, the track follows a typical indie rock set up, with vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alice Bloor, lead guitarist Andreas Mouzouride, Nico Pickard on bass guitar and Joel Faulkner on drums.

The subject matter of Had To Do It touches on that feeling of knowing when a relationship has come to an end, and although it hurts, breaking the news is what’s best for everyone involved.

The feeling of dread is delivered beautifully by Bloor’s haunting vocals over the heavy, punching guitars and percussion. Each member of the four-piece is given the opportunity to stand out during the track, and it’s evident that this young band are extremely talented.
