Welcome to the latest round up of indie tunes for your listening pleasure. We’ll dive straight in and announce this week’s Single Of The Week. This week it's the new tune from The Cazales. Their new track, named ‘The Narrative’, is the Welsh group’s third to date and combines ’60s-inspired psychedelia with contemporary indie- rock sounds. Gentle guitar lines and subtle rhythms guide the instrumentals while a vocal reminiscent of REM adds a further floaty feel to the track. It’s a great addition t  the discography of a great developing band.

Next up we’ve got the new track from Revivalry. The Cleethorpes-based three piece released ‘pieces’ on Friday. The track features an expansive and full-bodied sound, with elements of Wolf Alice and Blondie showcased throughout. Interestingly, the band consists entirely of teenagers - aged 14-17 - and their new tune sounds slots them right in amongst the key players on the indie scene...next is the latest drop from McRae. The band have started their 2022 with the energetic, optimistic and genre bending ‘Planetvplanet’. The tune blends pop and indie sounds to create an uplifting and danceable soundscape. Fans will note a departure from the cynicism of the their previous releases but will no doubt warm to the change... ‘I’m not looking for a friend’, the new drop from solo artist, Beth Keeping. The track builds on her pop-influenced singer-songwriter sound. The song explores concepts of self-confidence, doing so with an alt-pop, Christine and the Queens inspired sound. The end result is a danceable, infectious tune...aticking with pop-influenced tunes, next on this week’s playlist is ‘Perfect World’. It’s the new tune from the dreamy pop duo, Wings of Desire. The duo received praise for their 2021 releases and ‘Perfect World’ pushes their sound forward. It combines floaty and gritty rhythms to create a pensive, optimistic and optimistic addition to their discography. ..moving on with the list and onto the new drop from Specky Cult. The song is named ‘Dog Ate My Homework’ but the real interesting thing is that the band is actually made up. They are the protagonists of a musical created by a group of actors. The tune and acts as an introduction to the musical itself and showcases a jangly, acoustic rhythm with layered and catchy lyricism...now, as it was valentines day this week, we couldn’t not include a tune that fits the theme. It’s the new track from Nick Shane and it’s called Valentine. The track features a soft amalgamation of instrumentation and Nick’s equally soft and angelic vocal. Nick wrote the tune when he was 17 and felt this was the right time to release it; and we’re glad he did.

Editors note: I just want to give a special mention to the North-West indie-rock band Redeemers who have released a demo version of their track "Peace Of Mind". Giving an insight into what you can expect from the quintet, the song features an epic, blistering guitar and attitude-fuelled vocals and lyrics.
