The wait for Faded Shades’ first single of 2022 is over as the Indie Rock outfit offer up their latest energetic single ‘Waiting on Tomorrow’. The London based trio composed of Joe (lead), Charlie (drums) and Liam (bass) bolster their arsenal with a new single typical of the band’s charm.

Following on from last year’s ‘Second Guessing’ single, Faded Shades produce more material truly reflective of their impressive influences. From Small Faces, Paul Weller and Oasis, the spectrum of British Invasion is the bedrock of their sound and style.

Having recorded their 2018 debut album ‘It Gets Heavy’ in the constraints of a DIY home studio, the band have changed their approach. Now, they’re utilising their influences to create a more refined and polished sound.

The group’s latest efforts come just in time for the sunshine as it seems this is a track easily envisaged for a long summer evening’s drive. A mix of Tom Petty-esque heavy guitar and HAIM catchiness carries the tune along with subtle hints of keys in the midst.

The chorus brings the listener back in with lyrics ‘Waiting on Tomorrow’ sure to linger on the mind. A vibrant guitar solo bookends the song nicely and reminds the audience why this relatively new band have received such acclaim from a growing number of admirers.

With this group, the quote that seems to stick comes from FVMusic. “This trio are all superb musicians in their respective crafts. However, when they come together, magic happens”. Now, with this and their Spotify info hinting at more singles in 2022 – stay tuned, because this year could be a good one for the trio…
