Recent times have been busy for Darlings. They’ve just had a great tour with This Feeling and put their name out there further with support slots for Carl Barat and The Sherlocks. They even hit the festival circuit – performing alongside Primal Scream and Madness at Standing Calling. Now, the cherry on top of all this is the release of new music with ‘Bad Intentions’ ahead of their hotly anticipated EP.

The four-piece from Bishop’s Stortford are comprised of Steve Marriott on Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar, Bailey Burnett on Bass Guitar/Backing Vocals, Liam Hunt on Lead Guitar and Cameron Burnett on Drums. The group are confident this latest track has the makings of a future rock classic as it acts as the lead single for their debut EP. The song itself reflects how this group are beginning to sit comfortably amidst popular indie mainstays while still ringing true to quintessential guitar music of the past.

‘Bad Intentions’ is a guitar riff laden melody with sonic, cymbal heavy drum beats. Coupled with clever, 60’s inspired vocals that make this tune ever so catchy - this one scratches an itch reminiscent to that of the pure-bred indie that has so far inspired the band. An upbeat anthem, this song will likely get the feet moving and will surely be a mainstay in the band’s sets for years to come.

The boys have said of the track: Bad Intentions is an honest portrayal of a lovers tiff, going back to something that you know is no good for you, but you can’t help but go back.”

The track was written by the band collaboratively and was recorded at The Albion Rooms – widely recognised as The Libertines’ HQ in Margate. The track was mixed and produced by Jason Stafford and is sure to leave many excited about the group’s upcoming EP.
