Welcome to this week’s round up of some of the latest and greatest singles from the indie music scene. We hope this list does its bit to get you through the week. As usual, first on the list is OSM’s Single Of The Week. This week is the noisy new tune from False Heads. It’s called ‘Haunted Houses’ and delivers an anthemic and indie rock sound. The track - which features Frank Turner on guitar and vocals - offers a further glimpse into the group’s second album, ‘Sick Moon’; its rough riffs carve out a post-punk inspired sound, while lyricism that centers around living with mental health problems give the tune a true relevance.

Next up is The Struts, who have returned this week with their new release ‘Fallin’ With Me.’ The track sees the band owning the all-out rock they’ve become known for. Its punchy, attitude-covered sound evokes the likes of Imagine Dragons, while its groovy rhythm section adds a danceability to the song..next we have the new single from the renowned indie hitmakers, DMAs. Their new track, named ‘I Don’t Need To Hide’, is the latest in a recent run of releases this year. It builds on the new material; showcasing a palpable sense of relief. These feelings are crafted into an uplifting and anthemic tune that sees the band doing what they do best. ..next on this week’s list are the Manchester-based band Egoist. Their new track, named ‘I Worry Too Much’ walks a different path to its predecessor. The tune, at its core, is a confessional alt-pop anthem. Evoking bands like Bastille, the tune juxtaposes a sobering subject matter with euphoric instrumentation...Columbia Mills’ new track is next on this week’s list. The Irish group dropped their new track, named ‘Momentum’ on Friday. It exhibits a pulsating and dance-infused sound that evokes the madchester sound of the 1990s. A smooth rhythm section shapes the electronic instrumentation and a velvet-like vocal gives it a somewhat transient quality…sticking with an Irish artist next; this one comes from the solo artist, Annie Keating. Her new track, ‘Sunshine Parade’ is a captivating and blistering ode to blues rock. Its groove compliments its defiant lyricism and sees the artist in her element. The single comes ahead of its parent EP - only available to those who see her live…and finally this week is another tune from Ireland. This one, titled ‘Can You Feel It’ comes from Natalie Moran and came out earlier this month. The track is a vibrant dance tune that showcases feel-good and energetic rhythms ready to soundtrack the conclusion of your summer.
