The talented solo performer Jennifer Alvarado, who hails from North Carolina in the USA,  released her latest single “Catfish” earlier this month. The country-rock track is immediate in its sound as well as being lyrically relevant with a theme about love rats who break hearts.

Jennifer is making waves on her local scene, after a string of popular releases such as 'Curious' and 'Rock This Way".  The Nashville Songwriters Association dubbed her 'One to Watch' this year and last year she was named the '2021 Country Artist Of The Year' by Indie Star Radio.

Now, Jennifer Alvarado's latest single is set to catapult her career even further. Written herself, the song was produced by Ricky Rodriguez at Bombhouse Studios in Morganton, North Carolina. With the rise in popularity of online dating apps, along came the 'catrish' phenomenon - someone pretending to be who they are not and or/embellishing the truth about themselves in order to secure a date or relationship.

'Catfish' is as much empowering as it is supportive. With lyrics anyone who has experienced the subject issue raised will be able to relate to, the accompanying music demonstrates that Jennifer Alvarado is as talented a musician as she is lyricist.  'Catfish' is taken from her forthcoming new EP 'Songird: Part 2', a collection of songs that we can't wait to hear.

'Catfish', the great new country-rock single from Jennifer Alvarado is out now on all major streaming platforms.
