Eighteen year old Peyton Marie has today released her new single, 'Miss Me Too', an alt-pop anthem that is full of attitude and angst.
This new single follows up the Iowa based singer-songwriter's debut EP, 'Stranger To Myself'. 'Miss Me Too' showcases how the talented performer's songwriting has matured since the EP, having been written two years after. Having been musical all of her life, Peyton Marie has had time to evolve her talent and to grow as a performer. Recorded at home, 'Miss Me Too' is an upbeat and forthright track - the arrangement is particularly ear-catching and the ambience is reminiscent of Madison Beer, who is one of Peyton's inspirations.
About her new single, Peyton Marie says: "The song's about being in a relationship with someone who cares more about their reputation and partying than you. And then them wanting you back after you called it quits because they realized how good you were to them. It's your typical "f you" breakup song."
Having played all of the instruments herself on the track, along with understated piano, there is no denying the musical talent of Peyton Marie. Her alternative-pop sound on 'Miss Me Too' is a genuine delight, with her vocal delivery perfect for the content of the lyrics. Peyton Marie is a stunning talent, who we have no doubt is in for a long and celebrated career.
'Miss Me Too' is out today on all major streaming platforms.
