It’s little less than a month until summer is over, but that doesn’t mean to say the days of sunshine have to be waved away just yet. Prison Beach Club have released ‘Someone’ - an anthem which is sure to keep the summer haze flowing through your veins for just a little longer.
Prison Beach Club, who are a quartet who hail from Kent, blend a raw musicality with world influences, creating their own sound that vibes harmonic folk and indie pop. Starting their journey as friends who played cover songs to pay the bills, they have since decided to create a new project, playing their own material only.
Admitting that they find it hard to look past Paul Simon and Graceland for their artistic influences, the boys take an upbeat beach vibe path in their music, finding joy through the sounds of summer’s genial complexion.
As so often the case, the best music is created with little thought process. In this instance, ‘Someone’ is the perfect example of just that statement. Although you wouldn’t have been able to tell for yourself, their latest single was born out of pure enjoyment rather than anything else. When asked for the meaning, the band replied: “We just love making music as friends.”
The boys from South England will be hitting the stage for the first time as Prison Beach Club in Maidstone soon, but until then, they will be eagerly watching on as their latest single ‘Someone’ captures the attention of many.
'Someone' is out now on all major streaming platforms and you can listen to the track below.
